RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors - which services a number of suburbs and lifestyle estates on KwaZulu-Natal’s north coast from La Mercy to Zinkwazi including Ballito, Chakas Rock, Salt Rock, Sheffield Beach, Blythedale, Tinley Manor and Zinkwazi through its offices in La Mercy, Ballito and Salt Rock - is ushering in a new era this month with a change of ownership.

Simon Peacock, one of the new Broker/Owners at RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors, worked as a real estate agent with the company for nine years and has always had a passion for the business. “I knew this was a business I would like to dedicate my life to and so I asked the Broker/Owner, John Pechey, to consider me should he ever wish to sell his business. John has mentored me for a number of years now, so when he decided to sell the RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors franchise, it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass up.”

So what does this mean for the business moving forward? Simon, together with his wife, Kim, who assists him with administration and marketing side of the business, look forward to taking the business to new heights. “Simon and I have been in the system and understand the intricacies of the market and what it means to be an agent,” says Kim. “RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors is more like a family than a company, and over the years we have built up great working relationships as well as some great friendships and we are really looking forward to our new role and working with this great group of likeminded people.”

Adrian Goslett, Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, says that the change in ownership brings about an interesting dynamic with the new owners able to draw upon the expertise of the previous owners, who have many years of real estate experience. John Pechey and Di will be staying with RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors, to lead a team of agents. “John has decided to take up being a team leader and will now focus his time and energy into putting together some new developments on the north coast as well as running his very successful team of agents,” says Peacock.

Peacock says that the KwaZulu-Natal north coast has been the largest and fastest developing area in our country for a while now. “We have some of the most sought-after, upmarket secure estates as well as a number of new private schools that have recently opened over the last few years. All of this coupled with the fact that the King Shaka International Airport has made the area very assessable to not only the whole country but the whole world, has made our stretch of coastline some of the most highly sought-after real estate in the country. We have seen record sales over the last few years and with all the new development and infrastructural upgrades going on at the moment, I can’t see it slowing down any time soon. I am positive that we are going to see huge growth in the property market here on the north coast for a long time to come,” says Peacock.

He goes on to say that RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors has been the leading agency on the north coast over the past 19 years and holds the biggest market share in the area with 38 agents in its repertoire, giving buyers and sellers the best chance of a quick and effective sale or of finding the perfect property.

“We sold the most properties in Simbithi Eco Estate and are ranked as the number one sales force represented within Simbithi Eco Estate. RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors covers the entire North Coast area and enjoys accreditation at all of the estates. We also have the biggest advertising package with all the online advertising portals and can therefore offer sellers unrivalled advertising presence on these sites,” says Peacock.

RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors also has a very successful letting department which services the whole of the north coast.

“We are proud to be part of the RE/MAX business model which embraces the entrepreneurial spirit and only attracts top producing agents whose primary goal is to make sure that property buyers and sellers receive the very best service, advice and experience possible.

“We are very excited about what the future holds and we can’t wait to build onto the rock solid foundation that has been laid for us by our predecessor. We are very enthusiastic about where this company is going and together with the group of like-minded people that make up RE/MAX Dolphin Realtors, we intend to grow this company from the most successful real estate companies on the north coast to one of the most successful real estate companies in the country,” Peacock concludes.
