To most of the public in Kempton Park, Danie Goosen Estates is a well known and household name in property.
Danie Goosen: He has been in Kempton Park since 1978, selling real estate and moving in property circles, was involved in sales and management of several household estate agencies in Kempton Park. In 1988 Danie obtained the diploma in advanced property practice- Dip (A.P.P.). Danie attended a course at the University of Cape Town in Sports Law. Danie served on various committees such as Institute for estate agents, RNS (Residential Network System), KEAA(Kempton Park Estate Agents Association) and the Kempton Home Finder.
Liz Goosen: In 1975 Liz obtained the national certificate in Pretoria. Liz worked as an accountant for attorneys and auditors. Needless to say as soon as their 2 boys were ready for pre-school she jumped into the property as an estate agent. Hundreds of customers that dealt with Liz over the last 2 decades, knew her friendly, always helpful, “Client is number 1” attitude. Liz served on the Afrikaans Sakevrou Klub for many years.
In 1989 the established the firm with the sign of a green door. From there the name ‘The Green Door People”. Their office is situated in a busy shopping complex in Aston Manor, where they have been since 1991. Since the mid 90’s Liz Goosen took over the managing partners role, while Danie handles sales and promotions.
In 2002 both their sons Niel (who played professional rugby in Natal, Golden Lions and Griffons) and Desmond stepped into the business at grass root level.
