Mapungubwe Private Nature Reserve is situated on the Limpopo River in South Africa, earmarked for inclusion into The Greater Mapungubwe TFCA. It is bordered by one of the most spectacular World Heritage Sites and National Parks.
Location:
The Reserve is located 30 kilometers northwest of the small frontier town of Alldays but stretches all the way north to Pontdrift on the Botswana border. The axis of the Reserve has a length of over 20 kilometers.
It's a 4,5 hour's drive on quiet roads from Pretoria and only 1,5 hours from Polokwane. (Pietersburg)
Mapungubwe Private Nature Reserve is set up in such a way that an optimum combination between luxury bush living and a serious wilderness experience is achieved.
* A very low density of maximum 64, 1 hectare plots on 3,500 hectares was allowed.
* Each one-hectare plot has unique settings and views.
* Each plot has guaranteed privacy.
* Only 14 plots on the river thus keeping most of the riverbanks open for game viewing.
* More than 7 kilometers Limpopo River frontage.
* Open to the great game reserves in Botswana.
* Traversing over no less than an additional 20,000 hectares.
* Architecture incorporating the cultural heritage aspects of the area.
* Diverse and unique wildlife ranging from the Big 5, Gemsbok and Eland as well as exquisite birdlife.
* Diverse and unique flora varying form the magnificent Baobab to the rare Sesame Tree.
Particular care was taken to create a layout that would keep the landscape undisturbed whilst at the same time locations for the plots were choosen to cater for every body’s specific interests. Plots are not spread out throughout the whole Reserve but restricted to an area of 1,700 hectares.
This has resulted in a limited number of river plots, a variety of plots on dry riverbeds and a few unique stands overlooking the Reserve all the way into Botswana.
Stands are selling from R900 000.00 to R2 600 000.00 for river stands.
