Activities available on the Elephant Coast include Boat Cruises, Beach Trips, Bird Watching,

The accommodation comprises: -

A main lodge area which is great for conversation and relaxation and consisting of a spacious and tastefully decorated lounge and dining area with foldaway doors which open out on to an expansive deck area with pool. There is an open plan, fully equipped solid wood kitchen with marble worktops together with pantry area and every single kitchen equipment that one would need.

Separate from the main lodge are the bedrooms which are cleverly hidden in the bush and reached by wooden raised walkways.

One of the bedroom units is stand alone with large wrap around windows that extend from floor to ceiling giving a sense of open space to the bush. The bathroom is spacious with hand-made twin basins set in a beautiful and original, solid wood vanity. The frameless shower and freestanding cast iron bath makes for a tasteful mixture of old and new. The bath offers views of the bush. There is a private deck area.

The other bedroom unit has two en-suite rooms separated by a pleasant and roomy lounge area. It also has wrap around windows and the style of the bedrooms and bathrooms offer the same experience as the stand alone bedroom. There is also a large deck providing an ideal place for privacy and game spotting.

There is a carport area suitable for 3 cars, staff area and a storage space and cold room. A generator is housed in the pump house. There are numerous rainwater tanks though the property also enjoys municipal water and borehole water.

The property also includes a free standing site, situated in very close proximity to the current lodge. This site can be developed to either compliment or increase the bed capacity of the existing lodge or it can be developed as a total separate stand alone site. Each site within the game park, according to the management rules, can have a maximum of 8 beds. The existing lodge currently has 6 beds and therefore if the sites are combined, then another 10 beds can be added.

The vacant land will be sold under share block and once developed it will convert to sectional title. The park is managed by a Body Corporate.

All styles and plans for building work have to be in keeping with the Body Corporate Rule & Regulations and also need to be passed by the relevant local authorities (Big 5 False Bay Municipality), as is normal procedure for any development.

EXPENSES: Municipal Rates amount to R636.86 per month for the 2010/11 rates year. Monthly levies are R3,000 for each site (2 sites: 1 developed, 1 undeveloped). Electricity and water charged according to consumption.
