Company history
Terblanche Total Property Solutions was founded at the end of 2007 by Deon Terblanche, Ockert Terblanche and Michelle Thomas as Terblanche Thomas Property Solutions. The founders wanted to establish a professional property management and letting company in the Garden Route region of the Western Cape Province of South Africa as a gap in the market for such a business was identified. The company – in its initial guise – opened its doors in Mossel Bay in September 2007.
Early in 2008, Michelle Thomas had moved to Johannesburg for personal reasons and in May 2008 Deon Terblanche moved to Mossel Bay with his then fiancée (now his wife), Annemarie, to take over the running of the company. Deon subsequently appointed experienced property consultants to join them in the Mossel Bay office in July 2008. This was done to provide an extended offering of property services to clients; a one-stop property shop, so to speak. It was also the start of the amazing growth curve of Terblanche Total Property Solutions.
To provide a full suite of property services to clients, Deon Terblanche also founded a law firm, Terblanche Incorporated, at the end of 2008. He partnered with Yolande van der Berg in January 2009. Yolande, a great real estate attorney, brought a number of her own clients with her, and the name of the law firm was changed to Terblanche Van der Berg Incorporated. With her input, Terblanche Van der Berg is now a fully fledged law firm with a number of high-profile companies as regular clients. Of course, the association with the law firm enables Terblanche Total Property Solutions to procure a full suite of legal services to its real estate clients as well as its employees.
Terblanche Total Property Solutions opened its second branch in Hartenbos in May 2009. Thanks to the tremendous effort of our people, the company managed to open this second branch during a time when the property market locally and abroad collapsed spectacularly. The state of the international economy at the time was likened to the Great Depression of the 1930’s. Despite this, TTPS went from strength to strength.
Today the company has another office in Dana Bay and is still growing.
