2017 proved to be an extraordinary year for Seeff Richards Bay: at the Seeff KZN Regional Awards event held recently at Coastlands Umhlanga Hotel and Convention Centre, this team walked away with no fewer than 38 awards.

Seeff Richards Bay MD Elaine Chetty has steered the growth of this branch, which has achieved more than 20% growth year on year over the past six years in a row. This has also ensured that the agency has become the market leader in the area, with a market share of 26%.

The 38 awards that were received by the team included Administrator of the Year (Monique Cosgrave), as well as Newcomer of the Year for both Rentals (Leah Yankasamy) and Sales (Kevin McKune).

Seeff Richards Bay has also grown to become Seeff's top rental branch in KwaZulu-Natal, with all top three rental agent positions for 2017 being filled by agents from this branch, with Shelly Olivier in the top position, followed by Leah Yankasamy and Tyrelle Asaram. This also underlines the very strong rental market in the area. Says Elaine Chetty: “The rental market will remain buoyant as the shortage in stock and banks still not releasing finance easily will drive more people to rent in the foreseeable future. Buy-to-let investments for the Richards Bay area remain a good choice, as there is a definite shortage of properties while demand is high.”

Seeff Richards Bay took no fewer than 7 places on the Seeff KZN top 15 list of solo sales agents in terms of numbers of units sold. This included the top three positions, with Elijah Chetty in first place, Reanne Govender second and Sebenzile Mthethwa third. The other four agents from the branch who featured were Kreselan Chetty (6th), Terrence Pillay (9th), Colene Dina (13th) and Koketso Phaswane (14th).

The branch continued to put in a good showing on the Seeff KZN top 15 list of solo sales agents in terms of rand value, with four awards: Reanne Govender (4th), Elijah Chetty (7th), Sebenzile Mthethwa (13th) and Kreselan Chetty (14th).

While this is not the entire list of the 38 awards that the branch walked away with, it paints a picture of what a rock star team Seeff Richards Bay is. Adds Elaine Chetty: “None of this could have been achieved without the support of our local community and clients, to whom we are most grateful. I am so proud of team Seeff Richards Bay for their determination in helping our clients to become homeowners and write their stories. Our agile marketing strategies, personalised interface with clients and attention to detail are what underpin our achievements.”
