The reservoir is fed water from the Koonap River, pumped by a Lister mono-pump. The Koonap River forms the one boundary of the farm with a weir pushing water back for a few kilometers.

Predominantly Fish River Valley Bushveld, with riverine vegetation along the alluvial sand deposits next to the Koonap. The higher lying areas are relatively open with a strong grass component.
The Fish River Valley Bushveld is characterized by the tall Euphorbia and high browsing diversity, with a good grass cover below the canopy. The riverine vegetation is unmistakable with tall Acacia trees and an excellent grass cover.
Game and Wildlife
The typical vegetation of the area has an excellent browsing capacity and is known for its high Kudu concentrations. Game, wildlife and nature abound, with great birding, fishing in the Koonap and numerous large and small mammal species.
The property has been developed as a game breeding and hunting farm. With two separately game fenced camps currently being used for breeding Black Impala and Nyala.
The rest of the farm is utilized by the general game and as a source for possible breeding animals in the game breeding program.
