With the doors standing open, lovely breezes ventilate the house, and the view is of cycads and other plants, with no hint of the bathroom that is there, with its huge oval stone bath and beautiful wooden countertops.

Upstairs is a landing that could be a pyjama lounge or a study area, with a large outdoor balcony that leads off it. There is also a spacious loft area for a main bedroom, with a walk-in closet and a full en-suite bathroom. Another balcony leads off from the bedroom area, from where the view of the river can be enjoyed.

The third surprise is the basement room, always cool, with underwater windows onto the swimming pool, which could be a cellar and/or a games room.

Other buildings on the property include triple garages at the end of the long, brick-paved driveway, a staff cottage and additional garages without doors, with a good storeroom alongside. There is a shipping container with an unglazed window cut into it, for extra storage. Further infrastructure includes two boreholes with two water tanks, garden spotlights, a generator, an automated gate and electric fencing all around the property.
