42 ha Farm in Dullstroom

Farm with exceptional water close to Dullstroom offers five magnificent trout dams. In addition there is also a kilometer of Crocodile River with weirs and a plunging waterfall. Together with its location it sets this magnificent property apart. The farm is 42 hectares, partially unfenced within a game farm, only 4 kilometers from the village of Dullstroom. The location, views and waters are the main attraction with the two houses on the property offering accommodation for up to 12 guests. There is no Eskom connection.

Accommodation Details

MAIN FARMHOUSE

This farmhouse was originally built in 1995 with alterations made in 2003. In 2015 it had a complete makeover. It is a solid stone structure and consists of three identical en suite bedrooms, an open plan lounge, kitchen, living area and a large partially covered deck.

-The partially covered wooden deck leads to the front door

-The open plan living area is tiled and features a large wood burning fireplace set in a stonewall

-The kitchen has newly fitted cupboards, sink, gas fridge and 5-plate ELBA gas stove

-All three bedrooms are identical. Carpeted with built-in cupboards and en suite bathrooms with shower, toilet and basin

Extras:

-Built-in braai on the wooden deck

-The farmhouse is set amongst mature trees, has a lawned area and a small stream that runs into a pond

-The Crocodile River can be seen and heard from the partially covered wooden deck at the front of the house

-There is generator and gas facilities to accommodate not having Eskom.

THE PREFAB COTTAGE

The cottage is situated about 100 meters away from the main house, on the western side of the Crocodile River. It was also completely revamped in 2015.

-The open plan lounge and dining area is fully tiled with a fireplace. Doors lead onto a large partially covered veranda and wooden deck

-Three identical carpeted bedrooms

-Bathroom with shower and basin and separate toilet

-Spacious kitchen with new cupboards and 5 plate ELBA gas stove

-Carport that can accommodate three vehicles.

OUTBUILDINGS:

-Staff accommodation

-Separate ladies and gents toilet facilities situated close to the prefab house

-Two storerooms used to store the farm implements.

WATER:

-There are five dams namely Loch Killarney, Loch Neagh, Loch Porterdown, Loch Lurgan and Loch Drumgor

-Three of the dams are fed from the Crocodile river and the other two are fed from a second very strong stream coming from the northern boundary of the farm

-Waterfall of approximately 10 meters and weirs

-The Crocodile river runs through the farm for over 1km

-There is a sixth dam but it needs to be repaired

-Water supply to the houses are from the dams

-All the dams can be reached by well-maintained farms roads.

STAFF:

-Farm manager has been on the farm for 30 years (husband and wife).

-Fenced along one boundary

-No Eskom, although the main house has solar power for lights, and gas geysers. Both the main house and cottage has connectivity to just plug in a generator to provide electricity
