887 ha Farm in Albertinia

This farm is approximately 887ha in size consisting of 6 title deeds.

Farming mainly consists of 620ha cropping & livestock, 52ha irrigation (mainly Lucerne). The remaining 215ha consists of fynbos, veld, tea production and the river gorges.

Two river frontages of the Valsriver provides water for irrigation. The 22kW pump is used to pump water to the storage dam from where the irrigation takes place with a smaller pump. The second 18kW pump services pivot and permanent irrigations systems.

The farm has diverse potential:

As a farm it was managed for the past 15 years to regenerative farming principles. As a cropping enterprise with rotations through cover crops and clovers, the stocking rates could be significantly increased providing excellent financial returns.
