Sunshine... Bubbles.... Polo..... whales.... and Lifestyle...... Bramon Boutique Wine Estate, only 2 kms away from the famous Kurland Polo fields, and 10 minutes away from the glamorous coastal town of Plettenberg Bay - playground to the rich and famous. Situated in The Crags, Bramon has pioneered vineyards in the Plettenberg Bay area and is the very first boutique wine estate of the area, heralding the concept of the Garden Route's own Bubbly and Wine Route. Bramon has been the key driver of establishing a Wine of Origin status for the Plettenberg Bay region, a coup for the area, and a premier 'Bubbly' experience.
Enjoy languorous lunches at the ever popular Bramon restaurant, situated in the vineyards and gardens, whilst savouring the Bramon award winning Methode Cap Classique sparkling wine or their superb Sauvignon Blanc wines. Piping hot homemade breads, delicate mezze treats, organic salads, soups and oysters rounded off with decadent homemade desserts makes an afternoon a pleasure and treat. Seating up to 200 guests at the restaurant, both restaurant and the cathedral-like cellar have become a very popular wedding and function venue much sought after from Tokyo to New York to London.
Bramon has planted a variety of cultivars - Sauvignon, Charddonay, Shiraz, and some experimental varietals such as Malbeck, Pinotage, Pinot noir and Sangiovese. With a gentle ocean breeze sweeping through the vines, glorious Plett weather and a wine region that can be traversed in a variety of ways the Plett Winelands has made a definite mark on the South African wine and tourism industry. The 'State of the Art' Bramon Wine Cellar (250 ton with a capacity to go larger) acts as the central production facility for the Plettenberg Bay Wine of Origin region accommodating over 50ha of vines. Bramon wines are exported internationally and has a firm fan base both locally and abroad. Besides the Cellar and restaurant there are two houses on the estate as well as the conveniently situated tasting Centre on the N2 for cellar sales and tastings. There is also scope to develop a boutique Guesthouse with spectacular views into the Gorge, overlooking the Buffels River waterfall (just below the main house) and Tsitsikamma Mountains in the North, and the Elephant Sanctuary in the South.Bramon The Crags Sauvignon blanc 2013 - 4 Stars Bramon Sauvignon blanc MCC 2010 - 4 Stars Bramon The Crags Rose 2014 - 4 Stars Bramon The Crags Anton's Barrel 2012 - 4 StarsBramon The Crags Sauvignon blanc 2014 - 4 Stars Bramon Chardonnay MCC 2012 - 3 StarsBramon The Crags Anton's Selection 2013 - 3 StarsA Hidden Gem in the Wine Platter
