Bramon Wine Estate is the first producing wine farm this far east of the Western Cape and the key driver of establishing a Wine of Origin status for the Plettenberg Bay region, a coup for the area. The combination of being the first wine estate in the region, having a vibrant and thriving restaurant (currently rated no. 2 out of 72 restaurants on Tripadvisor), unique wedding venue (cellar for ceremony and restaurant for reception) boutique concept award winning wines. Pivotal to this vision was the construction of the Bramon Wine Cellar in 2010, which acts as the central production facility for the Plettenberg Bay wine of origin region. There are in the region of 20 new wine farms in development (60ha under vine), 9 of which have had their first vintage vinified in Bramon Cellar, and many more in the planning phase. These growers have the option to sell their output to the Cellar, the grapes being processed into Bramon Methode Cap Classiques (MCC) and still wines or alternatively their harvest will be processed and bottled under their own label for a fee charged by the Cellar.
Award winning Cellar Master, Anton Smal (20 years as wine / bubbly maker for Villiera) joined Bramon in 2010.
Finally, through embedding the MCC production process, the region will have a robust output of bubbly with an innovative Bubbly Route which will further enhance the unique character of the region and support the integration of new farms into the wine and tourism industry.

Vineyard: The vines are trellised and drip irrigated. The demarcation board has approved and gazetted wine of origin Plettenberg Bay for our vineyards.
Dams: 2 dams have been built on the farm, one ornamental and the second as an irrigation dam. The property is fenced except for the ravine / river boundary.
Perennial river(700m frontage), water rights are registered, although the dam supplies all water requirements.
