What do you love most about Milnerton?

Milnerton is an area which has it all and still offers great value for money. Its proximity to Century City, Milnerton Beach, Milnerton Golf Club, as well as being 15 minutes from Eden on the Bay, make it an area hard to beat. It also has The Paddocks Shopping Centre, with coffee shops and restaurants, which has become a popular place to meet. Milnerton as such offers a great high school as well as two primary schools, and is a typical suburban area where neighbours watch out for each other and children are still able to cycle and skateboard to school.

What is happening in the property market in this area?

Milnerton and surrounds remain an attractive purchase to homeowners looking for a medium to large family home close to the city and all the wonderful amenities our area has to offer, as well as investors in the sectional-title market that are achieving great returns due to the BRT and scarcity of rental accommodation. We have experienced an increased volume of interest from both foreign buyers and South Africans from other cities looking to invest in our area. As with most areas of the Western Cape the market remains one that predominantly favours sellers.

What attracts buyers to the area?

Buyers are attracted to Milnerton because of its beaches and sporting facilities on your doorstep, and it’s often more affordable than most Cape Town seaside suburbs. Millerton’s appeal is also underpinned by the roll out of MyCiTi bus services. Parents know that their children can get to school quickly and safely, and during the holidays learners catch the buses to and from the beach while their parents are at work. There is a separate bike and pedestrian path from Cape Town to Table View, the longest dedicated cycle path in the country. Milnerton is also the location of two nature reserves and Rietvlei is ideal for a walk or quiet water-bird watching, boating or canoeing.
