All Systems Go for Euphoria Golf Estate & Hydro

Despite rumours to the contrary, Euphoria Gold Estate & Hydro just outside Naboomspruit in Limpopo is open for business. According to a representative of the estate, the confusion has arisen because the original developer mandated to develop a portion of the stands unfortunately ran into difficulties and these are now being resold.

“Which is not to say that the rest of the estate has been affected,” confirms the representative. “All the other facilities and services the estate has to offer are up and running and a number of houses have already been constructed, mostly by permanent residents.”

The land which Euphoria occupies was originally a farm which belonged to the Erasmus family. After finalising the rights to develop the farm into an estate, the family signed a contract with former number one lady golfer Annika Sorenstram to design the estate’s 18 hole championship golf course in partnership with the European Golf Design Company. The collaboration, which went to great lengths to preserve and integrate as far as possible the indigenous fauna and flora, has yielded a “world-class” golfing experience.

A clubhouse has also been constructed along the fairway. Included at the clubhouse are a bar, function and conference rooms, boardroom, terrace and elegant restaurants which cater to game weary golfers, the business orientated, residents and visiting patrons alike. A state-of-the-art Golf Academy offering comprehensive golf tuition to avid golfers of all ages is also located at the clubhouse.

But it is the clubhouse’s ‘world first’ cable car which stands out. The cable car runs along a cableway which has been constructed between the clubhouse and a sun downer deck restaurant on top of the nearby Waterberg Mountain. The sun downer deck venue is informal and can accommodate approximately 120 people.

Nestled around the golf course are Euphoria’s golf course stands. Each of these stands measures around 1025sqm’s on average and have been orientated to afford residents spectacular views of Euphoria’s lush fairways and greens. Several other residential nodes are on offer at Euphoria. These include the Bushveld Mountain node, Orchard Village and the clusters at Olive Grove and Macadamia Crescent.

The Bushveld Mountain node comprises 122 stands measuring between 5000sqm’s and 8700sqm’s. This section is geared towards providing owners with a sense of space.

Orchard Village is set around a picturesque village green and features 187 stands measuring just over 700sqm’s. This node has been designed with community living in mind.

Olive Grove and Macadamia Crescent take the form of clusters located at the entrance to Orchard Village. These two cluster options collectively offer 55 affordable lock-up-and-go homes astride stands measuring 400sqm’s. Owners are entitled to select their house design from five pre-approved plans measuring between 144 and 173sqm’s.

Euphoria’s architectural theme is described as ‘contemporary South African chic’ with the individual buildings drawing upon a ‘rich African palette of earthy, rustic tones’.

Also on offer at Euphoria are 64 beautifully appointed, four star Bush Villas and a Hydro Villa which utilises natural, on site mineral springs at the core of their offering. Euphoria also caters to weddings and offers safaris, fishing, hiking and biking. An equestrian centre, business centre, sports facilities and convenience store are also on the cards. The estate’s security meets the highest standards and top notch education is available at three nearby schools.

As for current activity at the estate, four stands were apparently recently registered and plans to construct a number of new properties are going ahead. All stand prices are available upon application. Clearly Euphoria has much to offer and has the potential to become a draw card of note.
