Private Property Reporter

The highly anticipated virtual Real Estate Industry Summit, in partnership with Absa, will be taking place on Friday, 29 October 2021 from 9 am to 1 pm.

With hard-hitting insights presented in a fast-paced format, the event promises to deliver an unforgettable virtual experience that will set the real estate industry up for success.

The event is proudly brought to you by South Africa’s leading property website, Private Property in partnership with Absa.

Some of the issues that will be discussed include:

  • Transformation;
  • Land Legislation;
  • ‘Semigration’ and the evolution of so-called Zoom Towns;
  • The impact of Covid-19 on the Real Estate sector and how the sector responded; and
  • The changing nature of the rental market

Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much more, and I believe that REIS 2021 is evident of the fact that if we stand as one accord in our industry nothing will be impossible for us to conquer.

"We are so excited for this year’s summit because we will be unpacking so much and looking into shaping our industry to be a better one,” says Geoff Lee Managing Executive at Absa Home Loans.

Private Property Business Development Manager Carl van den Berg added, “We are looking forward to hosting such an important Summit which will delve into eye-opening discussions, and we encourage everyone to join in and be a part of the rebooting of the property industry."

Viewers can interact and give their impressions of the issues discussed via the live chat that will be in operation throughout the Summit.

The summit has the insights and reflections from giants in the industry. Ms. Mamodupi Mohlala, CEO of the Estate Agency Affairs Board and Joseph Sakoneka, CEO of National Property Practitioners Council, will be discussing the implications of the new Property Practitioners Act.

Wendy Forsythe, Chief Brand Officer of Fathom Realty will be talking on the top three global real estate trends to pay attention to in the coming years and finally, Samuel Seeff, Chairman of Seeff Properties, will lead the much-anticipated discussion on how the industry has adapted to the COVID-19 pandemic.
