Ideal Grazing Unit
This grazing unit is located on the Mzimvubu river on the Cedarville flats. The previous owner planted 12ha of pecan nuts on the farm and drilled a borehole that supplies sufficient subterranean water to cater for all 12 ha of microjet irrigation.
The unit is easily accessible, as the district road bisects the property. The farm is also very easily traversed due to its topography (being very flat) and a vehicle is able to access all areas of the farm making the unit easy to be farmed remotely.
The only infrastructure found on the farm is the steel structure shed, pumphouse and cattle handling facilities. Even though Eskom power lines run through the property, there are no transformers allocated to the unit so presently there is no electricity on the farm therefore water is pumped with a petrol motor.
