The property is on Lissataba Private Nature Reserve Lissataba means View of the Mountains. It is an exclusive and amazingly beautiful nature reserve located 30 min from Hoedspruit and borders the banks of the Olifants river. There are only 54 stands located on 2,500 ha. Each stand is 7,500 sqm in size, full title and the stand owners own the balance of the 2,500 ha. Stands rarely touch each other and offer more privacy that conventional wildlife estates found in Hoedspruit.
The reserve has a variety of plains game and an excellent network of roads, dams, picnic sites and bird hides. There are scenic views onto the mountains, Olifants river frontage and various rocky outcrops. Because it is not stocked with Big 5 game it is ideal for exploring on foot and on bicycle. In addition to the good network of roads, there are walking and cycling trails.
The reserve is managed and one unit with a reserve manager, maintenance manager and the farm staff. Levies are R3,960 which covers reserve running costs such as Fencing, Roads, Water and Power to each house, game management and reserve staff.
