Lucerne does well in the sandy-loam soil in this warm, dry climate and offers quality feed for livestock (and Kudu!) At present the owner keeps 120 ewes which thrive in this vegetation and habitat. The boreholes are fitted directly to the permanent sprayers on half a hectare. Currently the lucerne is not in good condition. Water usage rights are registered.
