By the seaside is a much loved artists home in the heart of the bustling harbour town of Kalk Bay. Kalk Bay is about 30 minutes from Cape Town CBD and the house is a stones throw from the beach, popular surfing spots, the train station as well as an eclectic mix of bistros, cafes, art galleries and also antique shops and boutique clothing and jewelry stores.

Beautiful wooden floors and high ceilings draw the light in and mixes of old and modern are a breath of fresh air. Enjoy the breath-taking ocean views in bed or from the balcony and enjoy your novel on one of the big sofas.

Trundle down to the beach or the tidal pool with the kids or enjoy an exhibition or some retail therapy along the towns main strip. There is also a theater with award-winning productions for a little South African culture. Watch the fishermen haul in their catch at the working harbour and enjoy fabulous food and sumptuous views from Harbour House restaurant- perched above the rocks a short walk away.

Kalk Bay is a short drive from Cape Town, the Atlantic Seaboard, Table Mountain and Cape Point (just a few attractions the city has to offer) and it is a few hours drive (approx 2 hours if you dont stop along the way) to the Winelands.
