You''ll meet the friendly animals that contribute to the charm of the retreat:- Jack and Daisy, two Hungarian Vizslas (Pointers) brimming with exuberant energy, and Maddie, a very relaxed Miniature Schnauzer. They are friendly and outgoing, eager to make friends with visitors. While they may be lively, they pose no harm and are sure to bring a smile to your face with their playful antics. Bagheera, Tiger, and Leo - These three cats add a touch of feline curiosity to the retreat.
These animals are valued members of the farm community. While they have the freedom to roam the premises, guests are kindly asked not to feed them, and because of their muddy adventures in the dams, they are not allowed on the furniture, ensuring a comfortable and clean environment for all visitors.
Cottage 1 - Gatehouse:
Surrounded by lush greenery and framed by towering trees, Gatehouse is a versatile cottage that allows for the booking of either 1 or two bedrooms. The 1-bedroom option is perfect for couples seeking spacious comfort and privacy. The 2-bedroom option is suitable for 2 couples or a family of 2 adults and 2 children over 12. The two bedrooms are located on either side of the communal kitchen / lounge area, and all the rooms open onto a sprawling deck. Adorned with comfortable loungers, plush outdoor sofas, and an inviting dining table, the deck serves as an ideal spot for leisurely meals or lazy afternoons enjoying the spectacular views. A focal point of the deck is the impressive braai facility. Nearby, a wood-fired hot tub awaits, promising relaxation and rejuvenation amidst the soothing embrace of warm water and the crackle of burning logs.

A charming and spacious retreat in a picturesque setting. It features one large bedroom, and two bathrooms, ensuring privacy and convenience for guests. The kitchenette and open plan sitting room opens onto a covered deck with eating and braai facilities overlooking one of our dams and the breathtaking backdrop of the mountains. A wood fired hot tub and a set of loungers invites you to kick back and relax. Olive cottage is secluded and ideal for romantic couples seeking comfort and tranquillity.
The rates below are for the entire unit and are based on a minimum stay of 2 nights. We only allow one-night stays from Mon Thurs out of holiday season. 50% is required to secure a booking with the balance payable a week prior to arrival. (Season Rates / Subject to change without prior notice).

Strelitzia features a beautiful double volume lounge / dining area and fireplace with a stone chimney. It offers a fully equipped authentic farm kitchen as well as a built-in braai. An expansive wrap-around balcony with plush outdoor sofas offers a serene ambiance with panoramic views of the majestic mountains.
There are two generously appointed bedrooms on the lower level, each adorned with king-sized beds for a restful night''s sleep. One boasts an en-suite bathroom for added convenience, while the other is accompanied by a full bathroom just steps away, ensuring utmost comfort for all guests. A cozy loft bedroom with two single beds, provides additional sleeping space, while a supplementary toilet and basin further enhance the convenience of this charming cottage.
