Despite the tough economic conditions surrounding the property market during 2016, RE/MAX of Southern Africa achieved over R20 billion in sales, assisting over 40 000 families through the process of a property transaction.

This is a remarkable achievement that should be acknowledged and celebrated, says Adrian Goslett, Regional Director and CEO of RE/MAX of Southern Africa, which is why RE/MAX of Southern Africa holds annual awards ceremonies which recognise the various feats the professionals within the brand have achieved. Hosted by media entrepreneur and international speaker, Jo-Ann Strauss, this year’s Western Cape event was held in March at Grand West Casino.

Even though the St Helena Bay office is relatively small compared with some of the other RE/MAX franchises in the Western Cape, they still managed to walk away with eight of the awards presented on the night. “Trading conditions were not easy in 2016, but our agents took on the challenge head on and achieved outstanding results,” says Rene Brandt, Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Sunset Coast.

Awardees from the St Helena Bay office were commended for their outstanding sales performance based on various levels of registered commission achieved during 2016. One agent achieved a Newcomer award having only started with the brand in 2016, one agent become a Silver Club member, while two agents were awarded 100% Club status. As a selling Broker/Owner, Rene Brandt placed third in the Northern and Western Cape region in highest registered commission, also being awarded for being part of the Millionaire’s Club. A highlight of the event for the office was when Justus and Rene Brandt received the National Broker/Owner of the Year Award for a single office. Rene Brandt also took the number one spot for the highest number of distressed property sales in the Western Cape - helping many homeowners to get out of a financially difficult situation.

The large majority of the agents from RE/MAX of Southern Africa in the Western Cape accomplished incredible results during last year, and their hard work and achievements have continued to ensure that the brand is one of the country’s leading real estate groups. “Even though we are not a big office, we pack a big punch. As an office we achieved a lot last year, which can be attributed to the calibre of real estate professionals who work within our group,” says Brandt.

“Our aim is to provide the best service to our clients and guide them successfully through the home buying or selling process as smoothly as possible. We are grateful for the loyal support of our community and our clients,” she concludes.
