What are the best things about this area for families?

Rietvalleirand is an ever-growing suburb which is home to many ambassadorial properties and mansions of stylish and lavish proportions. The suburb has quite a few prime estates as well. Rietvalleirand has an established infrastructure with great potential for further growth. Families are close to schools, Cornwall View shopping centre and the Engen petrol station. It is easily accessible from the Nellmapius off-ramp on the R21 which leads to the Pretoria CBD and OR Tambo International Airport, both being about a 20-minute drive from Rietvalleirand. There are lots of exciting things happening in this booming area.

How would you spend a free day in the area?

A day at the Rietvlei Nature Reserve is a must. This beautiful historical reserve offers fishing, hiking, game drives, cycling and refreshments or light meals at the coffee shop housed in the original farm house. Spend some free time at the popular Irene Village Mall with its many terrific restaurants and coffee shops, or enjoy the mall’s abundance of trendy fashion stores while the kids are watching their favourite movie. The Irene Dairy Farm close by also offers a great outdoor experience, a lovely farm shop and restaurant as well as a great kids’ play area.
