Moditlo Estate is 12kms from Hoedspruit on the R40. The magnificent Northern Drakensberg Mountains forms the backdrop of the reserve. The reserve is home to the Big Four, consisting of Lion, Leopard, Rhino and Elephant. Plains game are numerous and include Kudu, Giraffe, Zebra, Nyala and Waterbuck amongst others. There is also Cheetah, Wild Dog and Hyena. The estate has 2 seasonal rivers running through it the Mbezi and the Moditlo. Vegetation on the reserve varies from riverine to open plains with a magnificent variety of trees including, Knobthorn, Marula, Leadwood, Weeping Boer Bean and Wild Figs.
