At night when day life has settled you should hear the crashing of the waves and during the day you enjoy the seagulls and cormorants flying over the Atlantic keeping the watchful human eye busy with their entertainment. Besides the sealife of dolphins and whales that swim around in season, the Kiewiets surely make themselves known to protect their eggs or chicks and on rare occassions we are lucky to see small buck in the estate.

During the weekday the estate is guarded at the gate to check-in contractors and guests, afterhours, the homeowner is responsible to open the gate via cellphone. The estate is not a security estate as the beaches are open to the public, but it does control unknown traffic just entering with vechiles which does give a sense of security. The security patrols randomly at night is a bonus. The security forms part of the low levies payable, but it would be advisable to join a security company for extra peace of mind. Adding to this, the house includes an alarm system.

This house stands out with it''s unique design of plenty windows allowing loads of sunlight into the house. Rather than having 90degree passage corners, it has been graced with rounded walls.

The ceiling above the centre island provided a double ceiling effect to illuminate a warm and comfortable light and all undercounters have LED lights installed.

The study is on the landing overlooking the large open living space, so even if you are working, you can still enjoy family / entertainment life with the rest of the household.

History of St Helena Bay

St Helena Bay was discovered by Vasco da Gama who arrived in St Helena Bay in 1497. He thought that he arrived at Table Mountain. In fact, there is a small mountain called Klein Tafelberg (small table mountain) which can be seen across the Atlantic Ocean towards Elands Bay.

St Helena Bay was named by Vasco da Gama originally as Bahia de Santa Elena, after his best friend Constantine the Great religious mother.

St Helena Bay has a lovely community and one quickly becomes part of it.
