The Witbank dam is said to be the largest municipal dam in South Africa. You can camp, do water-sports, animal viewing or take a ride on the super tube. It's a great place for families and young people.
Schooling opportunities are abundant in this neighbourhood, with such institutions as Kragbon Laerskool, Malomo Primary School, Witbank Technical, Curro Private School, Itireleng Primary School and Tshwane University of Technology, catering for all educational tiers and ages.
The Ridge Casino is accessible within a few hundred metres from the N4 highway, with cinemas, ten-pin bowling, a variety of restaurants, as well as the traditional gambling facilities. Witbank is the home town of the Mpumalanga Black Aces football team. The town has many rugby, cricket and soccer fans.
