The picturesque avenues, the street cafe culture and the tight-knit community are what make Parkhurst an ideal choice for young professionals and families.

Estate agents say the suburb o¬ffers a range of properties and good value for money. Locals and tourists are attracted to the suburb because of its many upmarket restaurants, cafes, boutiques and design shops in Fourth Avenue and Sixth Street.

Parkhurst is also home to Liz Ogumbo-Regisford, a fashion designer, recording and performing artist, radio host and producer of Fashion Lab Radio. Liz has showcased her fashion collections globally at events such as Arise Africa Fashion Week, South African Fashion Week, Mozambique Fashion Week and Africa Fashion Week New York, among others. Her music, The Ken-Soul Experience, embraces her roots and culture, her passionate contribution to music and fashion as well as her love for Africa.

Originally from Kenya, Liz has lived in Parkhurst for five years. She says the vibe of the area inspires her creativity. “Parkhurst is a very diverse and global community, with lots of free-spirited souls, yet still has a level of sophistication that appeals to me.”

On beautiful days, Liz loves to take a walk to explore the many art galleries and boutiques in her neighbourhood. As an African creative, Liz is passionate about style, music, food and wine. She runs a showroom boutique and fashion styling consultancy in Parkhurst.

With its charming and relaxed atmosphere, welcoming community and desirable location in Joburg's northern suburbs, Parkhurst is the ideal place to call home.

“Parkhurst has the coolest promenade in Johannesburg with the greatest restaurants and little boutiques - 4th Ave actually reminds me of all the other cool promenades around the world,” Liz Ogumbo-Regisford, resident

Rosebank and Parktown
On trend and arty
Rosebank is a multi-cultural, vibrant and exciting suburb of Johannesburg, with an outdoorsy atmosphere. It is a trendy suburb, business centre and tourist attraction in one of Johannesburg's up-market areas. Although Rosebank is home to many head offices, the district also provides plenty of entertainment to its residents and visitors at its variety of shopping malls, restaurants, markets, luxurious hotels, cinemas, art galleries and night clubs. Parktown is home to many businesses, hospitals, schools, churches and restaurants, whilst still maintaining quiet residential areas. Parktown is an old and established suburb, with leafy avenues and a serene atmosphere. Large mansions are a dominant feature in this exclusive suburb, and new developments are rare.
