How did you get into property?

Before I got into real estate, I had my own business, I did wallpapering and painting of homes. Because I was in that industry of fixing up places, I've always enjoyed working in homes and seeing beautiful houses. I've been an estate agent for 12 years now, and I’ve learnt that it’s important to be honest and listen to your clients’ specific needs. Listen to their needs and requirements and take them to the right properties.

What do you love about your area?

I work in Woodhill Golf Estate – it’s settled, so there aren’t really stands available to build any more. It’s an 18-hole golf estate, which is really great, and they’ve also got a wonderful clubhouse, there are tennis courts, squash courts, it’s wonderful to entertain guests at the clubhouse and the security is phenomenal.

What's nice is that it's also very well situated because you've got the Pretoria East private hospital across the road, you've got all the shopping centres close by and our own private school, Woodhill College, has direct access from the estate to the school.

What do you love about your job?

I love it when a deal comes together – when I find the right home for a family, the joy and excitement of concluding a transaction is great.
