1.7 ha Farm in Gedults River

I have a 3 bedroom wooden house on a 1,7ha plot in St Albans in Gedults River, Gqeberha. It has 2 small rooms and a main bedroom. One bathroom has a toilet, a basin and a bath and the main bedroom has an en suite toilet, basin and shower. All rooms have built in cupboards. The kitchen has well appointed cupboards and a double sink. No stove. The lounge is small and leads onto a deck overlooking the garden. The wooden house is fenced in. There are three entrances to the property. The second leads on to an old 1 bedroom cottage and a large 4 bedroom farmhouse that was once a backpackers. These two structures do not have plans and are not official residences.

There is a carport attached to the kitchen door and a new shed recently built in the backyard out of aluzinc which is 6m x 5,5m with an earth floor.

The property is fenced but the fence is in bad repair. The plot is full of very large, mature trees that have been allowed to grow majestically over the years without interference. The top part of the property, with a third entrance, is open and largely cleared, good for a business opportunity.

The house is fed by municipal water and can be switched over to the rain water tanks if needed. There are 2 rainwater tanks. There is an Eskom connection and I have just applied for a prepaid meter to be installed. The house is in some disrepair and I am returning it to its former glory, slowly but surely. It was badly maintained for a few years but the structure is good and most of the defects are ascetic and easily fixed. There is presently no working geyser, but I am fitting a new one.

If you drive along the Old Cape road, called the R102, until you reach the Uitenhage sign, turn into Pelgrim road, towards the sea, this is a hardbacked gravel road. Travel down this road, you will cross an unmarked intersection which is La Marsellaises Road, after this we are the second driveway on the right, it is exactly 1km from the main road to the house.

We are 25km from central Gqeberha, 15km from Blue Horizon Bay or Gamtoos Mouth.
