KwaZulu-Natal based Broker/Owner of RE/MAX Panache, Grant Gavin, has been chosen as one of five finalists in the Standard Bank’s Rising Star Awards 2015 competition in the Entrepreneur’s category.
Gavin travelled up to Gauteng on June 24 for the final interview and now awaits the announcement of the winner of the top award in his category which will be announced on July 24 at a gala evening hosted in Gauteng.
The Standard Bank Rising Star Awards publicly recognises inspirational and passionate individuals who have a capacity for achievement and success. The awards are business-sector (rather than profession) specific. A stringent assessment process is followed, culminating in panel interviews with leading talent and industry specialists, to identify stars.
In 2014 Grant was recognised for his leadership and business skills by RE/MAX of Southern Africa when he was awarded as the Broker/Owner (Franchisee) of the Year – the pinnacle of achievement for a RE/MAX franchisee in South Africa. This award was also based on the increase in sales in his office, increase in agent productivity, his contribution to the community and his leadership within the group. Gavin has been a member of the RE/MAX National Council for the last six years and holds a management position on the board of the RE/MAX Foundation. At 38 years of age, Gavin is the youngest RE/MAX Broker/Owner to serve on the National council, and the youngest ever recipient of the National Broker/Owner of the Year award.
Under Grant’s leadership, RE/MAX Panache, with offices in Durban North and La Lucia, have been ranked as the number one RE/MAX office in KwaZulu-Natal since 2008. Gavin says: “It is far easier to lead a team to success when you are surrounded by the right people, and at RE/MAX Panache we are surrounded by some of the best in the industry from our leadership and management team, to our office administration staff and of course our agents who are industry leaders in terms of the results that they achieve in the market place.”
Several members of the RE/MAX Panache team have been presented with awards at the annual RE/MAX awards ceremonies and were commended for their outstanding sales performance.
