Seeff Properties, one of SA’s top three real estate companies, is this year celebrating a solid 50 years in the real estate business.

To mark the occasion, chairman Samuel Seeff lunched with media people from across the country, where he gave a brief history of the company.__

Originally known as Geoffrey Seeff & Co and having opened its first office in Wynberg in 1964, the Seeff group has grown to boast more than 1 100 agents in almost 200 offices throughout South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia, Mauritius, Namibia and Swaziland. Highlights of Seeff Properties’ illustrious half-century include becoming the first real estate company to list on the JSE and being one of the first in the industry to launch its own website – as well as being the pioneer of the show-house concept in Western Cape!

2011 was an especially interesting year, as the company launched the first sustained brand building TV campaign in the real estate industry, and also became Google’s biggest client in the industry.
