Situated a few kilometres from Warmbaths, Eden Christian School in Bela-Bela provides learners with high quality, truly South African education.
Eden Christian School is located on a small holding in Limpopo, offering learners a pastoral, soothing environment in which to learn and grow. The school serves the local community by providing a unique education to children from pre-school level through to matric. The distinction of the school’s system is largely through the use of the Delta/Impact education system, implemented within the school from Grade 10 to 12. This method is approved by Umalusi, and learners write the normal government matric exams, with the option of sitting an international exam. In the build-up to learners’ high school years at Eden School, the Montessori Method is employed to give learners a venerable grounding upon which to approach learning.
The Montessori Method is fully-implemented in the pre-school. This internationally-recognised system of teaching takes cognizance of the various abilities of individual learners within a class, and allows children to learn at their own pace through a process of discovery. The Montessori Method has been shown to have a marked effect on children as a whole, giving them a keen sense of respect, discipline and motivation. In addition to these valuable traits, and in conjunction with the guidance of teachers, learners are given comprehensive study skills that will serve them throughout their school years. This system is successfully aimed at helping learners to achieve their highest potential, meeting their needs as and when they arise.
The high standard of learning and achievement at Eden Christian School is made possible through a caring, supportive staff of educators and administrators who run the school under the values of a Christian ethos. Educators provide learners with a number of opportunities to apply their learning and broaden their perspective. This is predominantly through adventure camps, winter school and leadership camps. The hard work of teachers is reinforced by a strong sense of parental involvement within the school, both in a family sense and in communication over the development and progress of their children.
