Junior Colleges Fourways – Building Our World One Child at a Time

Junior Colleges Fourways accepts no more than twenty learners per class, enabling the experienced, highly qualified teachers to provide each child with their full attention. Children are taught the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in addition to the Government Curriculum – a system that provides for the development of the required skills across a range of areas.

The learning environment is stimulating and rich with activities. Classrooms and playgrounds are well-equipped and include the latest in technology, providing children with a valuable introduction to this important area of learning. The interactive Whiteboard makes learning at Junior Colleges Fourways fun and exciting and this guarantees a positive impact on every learner.

Junior Colleges Fourways makes use of Numicon – a cutting edge mathematics programme , The THRASS Reading and Writing Programme as well as a Gross Motor Specialist programme developed by the Institute of Neuro-Physiological Psychology. All of these class elements ensure that every learner is guided and supported in receiving the ultimate grounding for primary school. It is upon this foundation that children can go on to become successful students in terms of attitude and ability.

The general care of all children at the school is of the greatest importance to the staff at Junior College Fourways. As such, children received balanced meals during the day and all staff are qualified in First Aid and CPR. Immunisations are offered at the school through a local pharmacy. Holiday Programmes are also available and are a fun and educational time that learners really enjoy.

At Junior College Fourways, children are also instilled with values that will aid in making them conscientious, respectful and caring members of their families and communities.
