Junior Colleges Sandton – A Home Away From Home

At Junior Colleges Sandton, children are given the opportunity to grow and learn in an environment created for their safety and happiness.

Accepting enrolment for children from the ages of six months to six years, Junior Colleges Sandton understands the pressure parents face when having to choose the right pre-primary school for their little ones. It is with this in mind that Junior College Sandton has built a safe haven for children – a place that will be as close to home as their real homes. This is most notably achieved through the well-qualified and attentive staff who give every child the individual attention they need to get the most out of their experiences at the school.

Junior Colleges Sandton has a baby room with a separate play and sleep area, as well as its own garden. The play time for babies is a wholly sensory experience and develops early skills in a number of key areas. This includes the use of baby massage and music, in addition to other methods.

The academic programme for toddlers to Grade R gives the children a thorough introduction to numeracy, literacy, language and creativity skills. These lessons are enhanced through the outings that take place during the year. Learning takes place in a stimulating environment, and teachers communicate with parents on their child’s progress throughout the year. Children are also able to enjoy on-premises extra-mural activities that include Monkeynastix, Karate, Ballet, Soccer and Swimming. The school also offers an additional exciting holiday programme.

Security guards are present on the campus during the day and are linked to armed response. Teachers encourage learners to discover as much as they can during their school days, and guide them through challenges and hesitation to achieve and attain self confidence in preparation for Grade 1.
