How did you get started in property?

I've always been very interested in property – I’ve always loved it. Years back, I used to buy and sell properties. I just love going into properties and seeing the potential of each home – seeing what can be done with it. It doesn't matter how small or big the property is, they're all exciting because they all have such possibilities. The challenge of matching the right people to the right home is so rewarding.

What do you love about the Northern areas of Durban?

It's very much a family orientated area, a village, so we have a great demand from people coming from Johannesburg and Cape Town. They want to be in areas where there are good schools and we have fabulous schools. We are very close to the international airport, we're close to the major shopping centres like Gateway, and we are just very well positioned. As well as very close to the beaches, of course!

What do you love about being an agent?

I really enjoy working with people. I'm not so much a talker but I think one of my good qualities could be that I'm a very good listener and in this game that's very important. You have your ups and downs like anything, it’s very much a rollercoaster, but I love it – I wouldn't change it for anything.
