From conception through to completion, the firm not only authored the design but oversaw the entire building process, working in close and constant collaboration with the owners, whose vision and approval shaped every decision along the way.

The site itself presented no small challenge. The pronounced gradient, dramatic rock formations, and demanding topography required continuous adaptation and creative problem solving and it is precisely this dialogue between architecture and landscape that gives the home its singular character. Far from compromising the outcome, the constraints became the canvas.

Every finish is bespoke not in the loosely applied sense of the word, but literally so. Ian Gandini himself detailed and executed each element with personal attention: the kitchen layouts, the bathroom vanities, the windows and doors their proportions, materiality, colour, and feel each considered, each deliberate, each resolved with the care of a craftsman rather than the efficiency of a contractor.

With equal foresight, council approval was secured for the future addition of a third bedroom suite and a private lift the lift shaft already existing within the structure, quietly awaiting its purpose.
