Sundowner is a suburb in high demand and home to people from all walks of life. It’s secure and close to major roads with a number of shopping centres and good schools nearby, says resident Lauren Paul-Hagens. Paul-Hagens has lived in Sundowner for six years with her husband and three children as they find this to be a perfect place to call home and raise a family.
The suburb offers buyers a wide choice of homes, from apartments to freehold homes, at prices that suit many budgets. It’s a small suburb which doesn’t have its own shopping centre but is close to suburbs such Northwold, Boskruin, Northgate and Honeydew.
Paul-Hagens frequents Randridge Mall as it’s not a very big shopping centre but has all the stores she needs to buy her groceries, clothing and other items. There is also Northgate Shopping Centre because which has a Pick n Pay Hypermarket. Closer to the suburb is Summerfield Shopping Centre in Boskruin, which is home to a newly revamped Pick n Pay store.
Farther afield, she finds Carreira Centre in Ferndale to be a great place to stocks up on fresh fruit and vegetables and fruits for the week at great value for money.
For eating out, there are a number of restaurants in neighbouring Honey Crest Shopping Centre, Summerfield Shopping Centre, Northwold Shopping Centre, Northgate Mall and Boskruin Village. There are also good schools close by as well as hospitals and other areas of interest.
I love living in Sundowner because it is a secure and friendly suburb and it is conveniently located close to good schools, malls and major roads
