Decorators on Display - 2009

Hot on the heels of the phenomenally successful “Decorators on Display” in May 2007, where Kwazulu Natal’s top Interior Decorators and landscapers decorated and landscaped an entire development, dynamic duo Megs Tweedie and Kyla de Vlieg are once again putting together a Décor and Landscaping Show which will be the talk of KZN!

Showcasing the hottest décor and landscaping trends at Kindlewood Estate in Mount Edgecombe, Durban from Thurs 21st – Sun 24th May, Decorators on Display 2009 promises to be the best show yet in the event’s eight year history.

Situated in Mount Edgecombe, Durban, Kindlewood Estate – this year’s show host - is a perfect location for visitors from Durban, Pietermaritzburg and further afield for those down for the Comrades Marathon. Photo taken at 2007 Decorators on Display

The design concept of Kindlewood Estate is based on the true Natal Colonial farmhouse with wrap around verandahs in a prestigious golfless eco-estate, giving the show a uniquely KZN flavour, and providing the exhibitors with generous spaces and a country atmosphere.

This year’s show promises to be even more of a family outing, with supervised childcare and entertainment facilities, and walks around the estate. The restaurant will be situated in a gigantic marquee alongside the lake and will be hosted by Jono Shepherd with chef Greg Henderson from Myra’s Mediterranean Kitchen and decorated by Hertex Fabrics.

Each of the four days of the show promises its own entertainment, with Demonstrations and workshops every the day in the Demo Marquee. Talks will include landscaping techniques, decor and craft workshops by Home/Tuis magazine’s décor editor, demonstrations by top chefs as well as talks on Property and Investment potential in the area, amongst others.

Visit Decorators on Display 2009, from the 21st – 24th May 2009 at Kindlewood eco-estate and see beautiful, spacious homes, magnificent gardens and KZN’s best professional decorators and landscapers once again working their magic!
