Live a comfortable lifestyle in the leafy and well-established suburb of Jukskei Park.

The leafy and friendly suburb of Jukskei Park is located in the northern part of Johannesburg, neighbouring Olivedale and Douglasdale.

For the past 18 years, the area has been home to Annie Brown, who finds this suburb homely and friendly.

The suburb used to be a farming area mostly, but has now turned into a sought-after location with homes to suit any budget, from starter apartments to spacious standalone homes with big gardens.

“I love the homely spaces within this suburb, and it does help that we have a big garden and our home is located close to the park allowing us to easily access this for walks on the weekend,” says Brown.

Juweel Park is a popular spot for residents as they enjoy walking their dogs and catching up with neighbours. Residents together with Johannesburg City Parks keep the park clean. Dubbed the jewel of Jukskei Park, residents continue to work towards beautifying the park for the enjoyment of the community.

Jukskei Park is also close to the N1, Northgate, Fourways and Montecasino as well as the Lanseria International Airport. Depending on the time of the day and traffic, Sandton is also relatively easy to get to.

There is also Jukskei Park Shopping Centre home to The Olde Charity Shoppe which accepts items of clothing, linen, curtains, antiques, books, toys, furniture, homeware and artwork among other things. Other shops in the centre include The Laundry Basket, an internet cafe, beauty salon, and a picture framing store.

Jukskei Park is also home to Pepperwood Lodge, a quaint guesthouse which serves a delicious English breakfast.

I love living in Jukskei Park because it is a leafy, green, tree-lined suburb with great neighbours
