A R6-million home could be yours!

Win a Home is a brand-new reality show presented by three of South Africa’s most charismatic television personalities: Cindy Nell-Roberts, Tumi Voster and Maps Maponyane. And it starts tonight!

The show looks inside gorgeous South African homes, while furnishing design and décor tips straight from the experts. There’s also a gripping competition between four design apprentices – as well as the evolution of an apartment from an empty shell into an enviable home worth more than R6-million, which will be given away in the final episode.

When we say that Win A Home has it all – including several stylish kitchen sinks – we mean it.

Inspiration

Each of our three presenters covers a different section of the show, the first being “inspiration”. This sees Cindy visiting an array of beautifully decorated homes that are currently listed on Private Property. At the same time, she’ll be getting décor and renovation tips from local design experts, something that interests her personally.

“I love making my living spaces look beautiful and am looking forward to gleaning all that décor inspiration from the people who do it best,” says the SABC 3 Pasella presenter, former Miss South Africa and model. “And, having appeared on reality shows before, I know there’s nothing more exciting than a televised competition, be it to work on or to watch.”

Reality

The “reality competition” aspect is presented by fun-loving radio personality and SABC 1’s YOTV presenter search competition winner, Tumi. This segment follows the journey of four design apprentices who face the weekly challenge of furnishing and decorating an empty apartment within the luxurious Steyn City Lifestyle Resort that is currently being built in the north of Joburg. The designers will flourish under the guidance of four SA’s top interior decorators: Amanda Elliot (Design Collective), Abilene Brodie (Head Interiors), Stephen Falcke (Stephen Falcke Interiors) and Nthabi Taukobond (Ditau Interiors). You can vote for your favourite designer each week and the stakes are as high as the ceilings, in that the winning apprentice is awarded the opportunity to become one of Steyn City’s resident designers.

“I love that being a part of this show is going to give me inspiration for my own future home while also giving viewers tons of practical ideas on how to create their dream homes,” says Tumi. “Having been a reality TV show winner myself, I know first-hand just how edge-of-your seat exciting this competition is going to be.”

Apartment

Last but not least, the “apartment” section is presented by model, actor and Cosmopolitan magazine’s Sexiest Man winner, Maps. He’ll be following the progress of Kim Hutton, Steyn City’s resident designer, as he renovates a single apartment within the complex, transforming it from a concrete shell to an opulent living space that one viewer will eventually call home.

You can enter to win prizes throughout the show and your name will go into a draw to win the ultimate prize: this apartment.

“To know that someone’s going to win the keys to this dream home that they had a say in creating, simply by watching the show, is very exciting,” he says. “It’s a pity that Cindy, Tumi and I can’t enter the competition too.”

Maps will also chat to a featured “designer of the week”, something that suits him just fine as he’s passionate about architecture and innovation.
