Moreleta Montessori offers a rich learning environment and day care for babies, toddlers, pre-schoolers and children in Grade R. The atmosphere is developmentally-appropriate and the Montessori education prepares children for a bright future.

Moreleta Montessori is a school where children can develop to their full potential through individual attention from qualified, dedicated teachers who aim to provide an education for life. This school provides a healthy, safe and stimulating environment where children can learn at their own pace, and develop skills and strengths which provide a foundation that will help them throughout their school years. It is proudly a Christian school.

The Montessori system is recognised worldwide for the benefits it provides for children. It is a programme that develops confidence, motivation, discipline, a sense of self worth and ability, and allows children to realise and cultivate their innate love of learning. Montessori incorporates all of the senses into the learning experience and educates the whole child. Lessons are imparted in an atmosphere of respect for themselves, others and the environment. Educators endeavour to give children a keen sense of individuality, responsibility, independence and adaptability, whilst motivating them to take initiative in their learning. Education is child-centred, and educators serve as a guide who take cognizance of the different learning styles and abilities of individual learners.

The Montessori system focuses on creativity, and the curriculum integrates this in all areas. Parents have the assurance of the school’s setting – in Moreleta Security Village. Within the building is six learning environments for children between the ages of two and six, and a playground that is both fun and enriching. The school’s Baby and Toddler Centre consists of three learning environments and a playground. Education at the school is bilingual. Meals and snacks are provided to little ones.

Moreleta Montessori has two separate buildings for babies and toddlers and children from three to six years old. The Stimulation Programme for Babies and Toddlers caters for small groups, where tots can benefit from interaction with adults in environments with age-appropriate activities. They are also given the opportunity to play outside and engage in a variety of movement activities. The learning environment is carefully designed and equipped with materials that make them utilise their senses and learn through discovery. Children are also provided with movement opportunities that will aid in their physical development and stimulate brain development.

The learning programme for kiddies between the ages of three and six includes music and swimming and, in keeping with the Montessori method, is divided into different learning areas. These include activities for daily living, arts and crafts, sensorial, language, maths, history, geography, zoology, botany and science. Movement activities develop gross motor skills, balance and co-ordination. In addition to these, Moreleta Montessori offers a range of extra-mural activities that include ballet, cooking, Action Ball, Monkeynastix, Kinderkinetics and swimming.
