Modern education is challenging and constantly evolving. Our Lady of Fatima provides facilities that help girls to learn skills and to keep abreast of current trends, and develop lasting research skills. The school has junior and senior libraries, computer studies classes, an audio-visual centre, art studios, drama studios, science laboratories, Consumer Studies classes with a fully-equipped kitchen and a junior technology room. The school also has access to fine sporting facilities, allowing for training and practice across a range of disciplines.

The junior school is a happy environment where girls are taught with understanding and love. Learners are actively involved in their learning numeracy, literacy and life skills are focal areas.Learners are taught by specialist teachers and assessment is based on the application of knowledge.

Girls write the Independent Examination Board exams – an assurance of a high quality matric, standing learners in good stead for tertiary education. Our Lady of Fatima has made a name for itself amongst South Africa’s leading universities for the high calibre of girls who graduate from the school and go on to excel at tertiary institutions.

School life at Our Lady of Fatima is dynamic, enriching and exciting. The Our Lady of Fatima Parish is located alongside the school and plays an important role in the spiritual development of the girls. Religious Education is also taught within the school and, through the school’s affiliation with the Catholic Schools Office, the girls benefit from workshops and retreats. Our Lady of Fatima also strives to be “a community serving humanity” and is involved in a number of outreach projects during the course of each year. This engenders a sense of social awareness in all of the girls, as well as responsibility and care.

From a young age, girls at Our Lady of Fatima are presented with a number of leadership opportunities. This not only assists in the running of the school, and provides a mentorship programme under which girls flourish, as well as contributing to the Fatima family spirit. On the sports field and under the humanities selection, girls are offered a range of activities in order to broaden their talents and hone their skills. Our Lady of Fatima has a number of sports teams, and cultural faculties that are given expression through school functions and competitions.
