Paddocks Private Consulting Service is now available again, offering two types of consulting: Fixed cost private email consulting and traditional private consulting. Adjunct Professor Graham Paddock leads the consulting division and is assisted by Jennifer Paddock and Anton Kelly.

Fixed Cost Private Email Consulting – We take your instructions via our online no-obligations request form. We quote you a fixed fee that, if accepted, you pay upfront; and we deliver the requested work to you within an agreed timeframe by email. It’s efficient, easy and there are no nasty surprises when it comes to the bill. A modern way of legal consulting.

Traditional Private Consulting – You contact us and request a face-to-face or telephonic consultation. We consult with you and afterwards do any work that you require us to do. We send you the work and bill you for our time afterwards. The traditional legal way.

Paddocks has offered consulting in the past in various formats – both face-to-face and private online consultations. From what we have experienced in the past, and after offering email consulting on an ad hoc basis over the past few months, we feel that these new formats are a great platform to be able to offer the considerable knowledge and skill of our experts to people from all over South Africa and Southern Africa.

The consultations can take many forms. For example, clients can request written legal advice on a specific matter, preparation or review of documents or scheme rules, interpretations of existing laws and regulations, practical legal opinions on disputes, or even private discussions around a community scheme matter. The consultation fee is based on an hourly rate, which differs according to which Consulting Team member completes the work.
