Private Property has signed an exclusive deal with Kagiso Media to act as the real estate partner for MSN South Africa from 1 July 2010. Private Property announced the agreement this week, after the changes to the MSN/property portal had been activated. “Private Property is extremely pleased with this new partnership, as the MSN/property portal will give much added exposure to advertisers on our website. Both private sellers and estate agents will benefit from the additional audience this will bring to their listings,” says Private Property CEO, Justinus Adriaanse. MSN is part of Microsoft, and is the default home page for hotmail users around the globe. In addition, they are one of the busiest websites in South Africa. Their property portal alone is visited by around 40 000 unique visitors each month, which is what made the opportunity to power it so inviting. Adriaanse adds, “Private Property is constantly exploring avenues to grow the exposure of our website and its advertised listings to new people. This particular partnership was inviting because of the many browsers who already visit the MSN/property portal, which will mean increased leads to our advertisers.” Kagiso Media, who only recently took over the MSN South Africa site, also own a number of regional broadcasters and other concerns. Just last month, Private Property came aboard to power the property portals of both the Jacaranda FM and East Coast Radio websites, making the addition of the MSN/property portal an extension of a growing relationship between the two companies. Already South Africa’s busiest property portal, Private Property has more than 450 000 unique visitors to their site each month – a figure which is growing steadily. “Our goal is to reach 1 million unique visitors a month by the end of 2010, and we’re confident that these partnerships will assist us in getting there,” states Adriaanse.
