The specially-allocated, age appropriate phases within the school provide a firm foundation of skills, covering fundamental learning areas. Classes are heterogeneous, giving all pupils the ability to learn together with tolerance and understanding for the range of abilities and talents that exist within the classroom.

In keeping with the requirements of a modern world, computer studies are compulsory to all learners at the School of Merit through their Knowledge Network syllabus, through which they undergo external evaluation and receive a certificate for their efforts.
