Victorianised early Cape c1860. This is a particularly attractive example of a communion/church house where farmers stayed over when attending church activities. It was built between 1860 and 1880 in a simple, symmetrical early Cape style with a flat roof sloping towards the back. In 1874, Dr F Biccard bought the property from the Board of Church wardens of the Dutch Reformed Church. During later renovations the house was given a pitchroof and Victorian detailing.
