Hartbeespoort Dam and surrounds
Oasis in the mountains
Hartbeespoort is a small resort town situated on slopes of the Magaliesberg Mountain and the banks of the Hartbeespoort Dam. This "poort" in the Magaliesberg was a popular spot for hunters, where they cornered and shot the hartebeest many years ago. Watersports such as para-sailing, windsurfing, jet skiing, tubing and boat cruises are very popular on the dam. This neighbourhood is vibrant and full of life, with a great social scene.
Lively Academic Town
Potchefstroom is an energetic, academic city, hosting the Potchefstroom Campus of the North West University. The community are friendly and helpful, consisting of mostly Afrikaans speakers. This area is known as the North-West Province's Home of Sport and is a home away from home for many international athletes and teams. With no large industries, this area has very clean air, and a low crime rate.

Rustenburg is known for platinum mining, a rich history and lush bushveld surroundings. With the natural beauty surrounding this area, it has become a great getaway from the hustle and bustle of nearby cities. It is about 110 km away from both Johannesburg and Pretoria. This neighbourhood has almost year-round sunshine, making it the ideal place for those who enjoy outdoor activities.
