Shelly Beach has a gated estate, as well as freestanding houses,complexes, and apartment blocks with spectacular sea views. Uvongo to Margate boasts large complexes on the beachfront and surrounds with free standing houses inland. Ramsgate also houses large homes with a few complexes. Most of these complexes boast 180 degree sea views.
For a multitude of entertainment options, Margate is just minutes from the Wild Coast Sun Casino, Oribi Gorge and many adventure and nature trails. From locals to holiday makers and those that love blue skies and the sea, Margate is occupied by people having fun.
The evenings are full of energy in Margate, with families strolling on the beachfront whilst grabbing ice cream from Wimpy or milkshakes from Mugg Bean. Kids ride their bikes along the beach front, youngsters head to one of a the trendy night clubs, families go out to dinner, movies or even night sport matches.
Mountain biking at many of the inland biking trails is a popular outdoor activity in Margate. For those who enjoy motorcycles, once a year the Biker’s Week is held at Margate’s main beach whereby thousands of people attend the Bike show. There are numerous curio stalls, arts and crafts centres, nurseries, exhibition centres, museum, café’s, restaurants, golf courses and pubs which leave people spoilt for choice.
