During the day, life revolves around the beach with surfing, stand-up boarding, running and cycling proving popular with locals. At night the numerous pubs, clubs and restaurants buzz with activity. The area is extremely popular with families due to it being child-friendly, having great schools and being affordable, in comparison to other areas in Cape Town.

Doodles and News Café on the Blouberg beach front are popular seaside restaurants. The Brazen Head at Seaside Village is a well frequented Irish Pub. The Lower Deck at The Blue Peter, which is one of the oldest restaurants in the area, is known for idyllic sea views.
The stunning Blouberg beach is where watersports like surfing and stand-up paddle boarding can be done. Dogs are also welcome, as well as cyclists.
This vibey neighbourhood has a MyCiti bus which travels along the R27 connecting Tableview, Blouberg, Sunningdale and Parklands to the CBD.
