Henck annoucing the surprise agent challenge - Vat Jou Goed en Trek

In the first episode, agents that will appearing in the series are invited for what they thought would be an orientation.
They quickly learn that cake and tea won’t be served as Henck divides them into three teams and challenges them to renovate three garages and turn them in to functional living spaces. Henck shocks the agents by announcing that they will only have 72 minutes to renovate the garages instead of the 72 hours that they are allowed in their respective episodes.

Vat Jou Goed en Trek - agents get down to business for their first challenge

The Red team consisting of Natasha Kruger (Aida), Lucas van Vuuren (LRE Group), Shaun Buchanan (LRE Group) and Denis Dunn (Harcourts) decides that they are turning their garage into an office.

The White team consisting of Rob Pound (Property.Co.Za), Johannes van den Bergh (Just Property) and Wynand van Wyk (RealNET) chose to turn their garage into a laundry room.

Lastly the Blue team consisting of Lynne Heger (RE/MAX), Juanita Louw (RE/MAX) and Gavin Bampton (Aida) decides to make the garage more practical by putting up a work bench and painting the entire area.

Work commences and the pressure is on. Each agent wants to show that they are the number one agent of the group with the most knowledge of property.

Gavin excuses himself from the work and steps aside to gather himself. He is not happy that Henck did not warn them that they would be painting and renovating. He is upset that his expensive shirt is dirty, that there is paint on his new shoes and mentions that they are agents not painters.

Back at the site work goes on as the agents rush to complete their renovations.

Henck, interior designer Lara, and building specialist Kevin, pop into the garages to lend advise and see how they are progressing, just before Henck calls time out.

Henck, Lara and Kevin have their walk-through of the completed garages and judge the work that was done.

The judges are very impressed with the work done and the Red team is declared the winner. Henck mentions that he looks forward to seeing the renovations over the next 13 weeks, if this is what the agents could achieve in only 72minutes.
