The Atrium of Rivonia offers modern apartments for young professionals from R1,065million.

The northern Johannesburg suburb of Rivonia is situated between Bryanston, Woodmead, Gallo Manor, and Morningside. Over the last couple of decades the nature of property in the suburb has been transformed from large freehold stands to include residential estates and sectional title complexes. A wide selection of full title cluster homes as well as a number of high-density, multi-unit, sectional title townhouses has been built throughout Rivonia in recent years.

Chris Renecle, MD of Renprop, says: “There have been numerous upgrades to facilities in the area, and this, coupled with Rivonia’s excellent location and range of amenities, has seen the area’s sectional title property market remain buoyant with demand continuing at a steady pace.”

Rivonia boasts no less than 14 different shopping malls, mainly centred around Rivonia Road, in the Rivonia Boulevard. Top schools in the Rivonia precinct include Redhill and King David College. There are also a range of schools, gym and medical facilities close by. Rivonia residents also enjoy easy access to Johannesburg’s major road networks.

The western side of Rivonia Road has been a hotspot for development as it has been earmarked as Johannesburg’s new high density node. Renecle believes that this region will continue to see growth as the demand for sectional title accommodation remains strong. “The continued demand for rental units in the area is in turn driving the demand for units by investors who are looking to add to their buy-to-let portfolios,” says Renecle.

If you are looking for a well-positioned apartment close to Sandton, whether as a buy-to-live or buy-to-let option, look no further than The Atrium, a 178-apartment building in the heart of Rivonia. These apartments are ideally located on the corners of 7th and Rivonia Roads within walking distance to shops, gyms and the Gautrain bus route. Phase one and two have been completed and handed over, and the third and final phase of this development, which consists of just 48 apartments, is now underway with expected completion scheduled for August this year. Designed in a modern, contemporary style, and planned with young professionals in mind, the selection of one- and two-bedroom apartments measure between 40m2 and 90m2 and are competitively priced from R1,065million.

Renecle concludes by saying that The Atrium is well positioned for investors to take advantage of the rapid development in the general Rivonia precinct which has fuelled demand for residential property in the area.
